Do I need a DBS? I’ve heard the phrase DBS and CRB – what actually is this and why do I need to have one?

Hi Jaime,
Thank you for your question.
The DBS is the old CRB and it means the Disclosure and Barring Service – a criminal record certificate which will show if you are ‘clear’ or not with the Police.
As an agency we have a responsibility to make sure that all candidates have a valid DBS when placed by us.
Should you want to read more about it, please read this article.
Hope this answers your question.
